One important thing that every Internet marketer must have in order to build a real online business is discipline. But unfortunately, many beginner marketers struggle when it comes to having discipline. Not knowing how to manage your time effectively can cause your Internet marketing business to suffer big time.
Have you ever got into a situation when you created an action plan for the day and later find yourself just literally wasting lots of time doing stuff that are unproductive to your online business like surfing the net and reading emails?
I’ve been there and I know it sucks!
Feel me? If you do, here are some tips that can help you with regards to managing your time effectively and being productive:
Get a piece of paper and write down the things you need to get done the next day (yes, already write your schedule the previous day at night before going to sleep), also write down how many hours you plan on doing it and finally, place it beside your computer.
The next day, before getting to work, be sure to turn your phone off in order to avoid distractions.
Get an alarm clock and set it up to ring at the time you scheduled each of your work to be done. For instance, I scheduled myself to create 5 articles from 8 to 9 am, I’d then set the alarm to 9 am. Then my next job is submitting the articles to article directories from 9 to 9:15 am. So I would then set the alarm to 9:15 am and so on.
You must stop whatever you’re doing (whether it is finished or not) when the alarm starts, then move on to the next one.
The beauty of this method is it stops you from the urge of not following your schedules. Besides, if you have a time limit, you will be more eager to push yourself on finishing the job before your time will be up.
If you start doing this, overtime you will get used to it and time will come when you can get any work done without needing the help of an alarm clock.
